Denise is a highly experienced peripatetic team manager with a strong background in safeguarding, care planning, and staff development, dedicated to supporting children and families with complex needs.
My Story
I am an experienced children and families practitioner with over 20 years' experience working with children, young people and families across residential childcare and family assessment services. I have held a range of practitioner and leadership roles throughout my career, including seven years as a Registered Manager of a children's home, and I am now working as a Peripatetic Team Manager.
I have extensive experience in safeguarding, care planning, risk management, quality assurance, staff development and supporting children and families with complex needs. My management experience includes leading and developing staff teams, managing residential services and working within Ofsted-regulated settings. I hold Level 4 qualifications in Management and Health and Social Care (Children and Young People), alongside continued professional development in areas including safeguarding, trauma, attachment and adverse childhood experiences.
I am passionate about ensuring children and young people feel safe, valued and listened to, while supporting families and professionals to achieve positive and sustainable outcomes. One of the most meaningful moments of my career was being nominated for a Believe In Me Award by a young person I previously cared for, recognising the positive difference I had made in their life.
