My Story

With over 35 years' experience in Residential Children's Services, I am a highly skilled leader known for delivering consistently Good and Outstanding Ofsted outcomes. Since 2004 I have worked as a qualified Registered Manager and as a Responsible Individual, overseeing a wide range of services including Children's Homes, Edge of Care provision, an Observation and Assessment Centre, and Short Break Services for children with disabilities and complex health needs.

My leadership has been recognised through the Manager of the Year Award and Team of the Year (2024), reflecting my commitment to excellence, safeguarding, and child centred practice. I am values driven, motivational, and dedicated to developing confident, skilled teams with strong retention and progression.

Since 2025, I have worked in the private sector as a Responsible Individual, supporting the development of new children's homes and ensuring high quality practice aligned with Ofsted regulations. I bring strong expertise in quality assurance, strategic oversight, project management, and mentoring Registered Managers.

I am well versed in trauma informed and systemic practice, with a deep understanding of child development, safeguarding legislation, and the frameworks that underpin effective residential care.
